I've watched Hitomi's chanel for a while now and i always admired her softness, the way she shows up in the world, the way she chooses love above everything else, the way she supports herself and other people. and now, knowing what she had to go through, and the way she transmuted all that pain into healing is just fucking magical and powerful

Just gotta comment, but this video here was part of my trans awakening and the start of exploring my gender. I saw this maybe.. 4 years ago? But I remember it felt like my world opened up because I didn’t know much about hrt or that you could pass as a guy. My perception on trans people, especially trans men, was incredibly skewed due to how little I understood about it. I didn’t know I was trans because of such lack of understanding, I didn’t know what I felt was dysphoria. I remember it was the first time it felt like there was hope, that maybe I can actually live my life as a guy the way I wanted to live. I’ve always had mental health problems that have technically gotten better but I’ve always felt stuck, moving through the motions feeling like I was in between living and dying. I never really felt alive, and I’ve just been perpetually uncomfortable in my body to the point where I’ve dissociated and look at my body through alien eyes. It took years of really trying to figure myself out and decide if transitioning is what I want, and I’m happy to say that I’m moving forward and will start testosterone in a week and a half. Ever since my first appointment I’ve finally felt alive, like I have something to look forward to finally. I felt my vision actually brighten, it’s insane how much I had been held back by this, I didn’t even know how bad it got. So hey, thanks for documenting your journey!
